"I worked at Masco's Research and Development Facility. Masco was once a great company. It had all the tell-tale signs of a powerful and influential contributor to the industry. Lately, though, it has been going through leadership changes and huge staff cuts. They recently got rid of half the staff in their Research and Development facility and 40% of their Headquarters Staff. Rumors are circulating that senior management is planning on phasing out Research and Development or possibly moving it back into the basement of Headquarters. Even if these rumors aren't true, their existence demonstrates a lack of morale in the remaining workers. This reviewer has the suspicion that the company is being sold off in pieces for short term profit. Time will tell if this suspicion has any merit. Masco was a good place at which to work, but it doesn't seem as though it will last much longer."

"Made good money, had good benefits."

What do you like about working at Masco Corp.?

"Not my supervisor Richard Briggs laid me off after I called ethics and turned him in for stealing the HR guy Bob Sweat did a so called investigation and Steve Cox and David Buran cover for Richard Briggs I worked there 7 years and I was afraid if I told I would get let go and I did."

What don't you like about working at Masco Corp.?

"Since 2001 Richard Briggs has run a side businessof remodel cabinets with his girl friend he has taken cabinets from the warehouse he has keys and also taken cabinets off jobs after delivery andhas paid installers on company jobs extra to do his side jobs.Taken molding trim from his so called service rack that is not inventoried."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The Houston Branch will never make it or any profit as long as Richard Briggs is the FSS he has always got away with theft he has AS400 clearance so he goes in the computer system and damages out some of what he steals.He is very convincing to the upper management that he is honest if the would set up a sting operation from someone outside calling him for cabinets he would get caught he will give them his girl friends phone number and then would steal the parts from Quality Cabinets no one the will talk they are either in with him or afraid of getting laid off if they tell on him.Ask him to take a polygraph and see what happens!"
