"I've been working at MAPFRE Insurance for 6 years now. I have seen the company go from bad to worse. Company used to be called Commerce Insurance and was bought out by MAPFRE, a company from Spain. Some departments and supervisors are extremely corrupt. I have watched many good employees be wrongfully terminated or harassed to the point of quitting. It is awful to experience. HR turns a blind eye and/or pretends they don't know about it. There are many exit interviews that tell the truth. Are these actually reviewed by HR? I've been told not. Think twice before accepting a position here. Management is predatory and high turnover should be a red flag to HR. Supervisors belittle their employees, treat them like children, and look for reasons to harass those that work under them. All while they do pretty much nothing but gossip and socialize. Not a good place to work. These people don't care about helping people. They take pleasure in breaking people down. No one trusts anyone because all employees are put against one another. It's the only way to move up the corporate ladder here."
