"Poor leadership at the corporate level. They are mediocre and/or failures who are never held to task for their shortcomings. Total disconnect between field offices so the workload is excessive with ever increasing demands. Why should corporate care about us, when all they care about is their own salaries and the shareholders. Zero innovation, zero accountability/ownership, yet regional VP always on field staff to "own" their whatever! By the way, he hasn't seen any revenue growth in a few years now, why is he still there? Cloudy career vision with no real path for advancement. National accounts and contracts are way in favor of clients, which in turn means I never hit my numbers (when in reality I do, but according to contracts, clients hire my sources for free) so when it's time for a raise, not much is there. Many of the lower and middle level people are great and try to help out when they can. Pretty good benefit package. You can maybe make OK salary if you start kicking and screaming (assuming you are worth it, which I am)."
"Excellent company to work for when your role is clearly identified and supported. My early experience working as a contractor for Wells Fargo thru Manpower was excellent."
"Manpower was excellent placing me with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, giving me my first opportunity to underwrite."
"I have worked for Manpower Professional since 2011 and it has been pretty good so far, save for a few issues. I did not get any paid time off nor any vacation days during this contract. Too often, the communication is very vague as well."
"I worked for international paper for four years. I really liked working for this company. I enjoyed working with my coworkers and the experience this company taught me. The leadership I learn there also taught me how to get the job done right, also how to accomplish every job that needed to be done."
"Temporary work, as a go-between permanent jobs. Nothing spectacular."
"I've worked for International Paper since 2009. I really did like working for the company and the work that I did. Also I got along with the coworkers and the leadership that they taught me. I know they're one of the biggest box plants here in California."
"I work with Manpower for about a year and I like the way they help you find jobs. I was working for Conagra through Manpower. They had a contract with Manpower if you didn't get hired within a year your job was done. But I like working with them."
"Manpower has been very good to me. I have worked with this staffing agency since 2005.They always find me employment."
"Negative view"
What don't you like about working at ManpowerGroup?
"Terrible work conditions. You work at places that use temporary agencies because they can't find the workers any other way. Manpower staff will use arm twisting technics to get you to take any assignment. They will try to get your unemployment revoked so you have to take what jobs you are offered."
