"Great place to work but I was only a contractor."

What do you like about working at Manitowoc?

"I learned a lot there. I liked the work enviroment, my co-workers, and the work I was doing."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I worked thru a contract company so I did not have a tough interview. I would recommend doing this to get your foot in the door. If the economy didn't tank I'm confident I would be working there now directly thru Manitowoc."

What don't you like about working at Manitowoc?

"I was there for 17-18 months but was only a contractor thru aerotek. The contractors were the first to go when the lay offs hit."

What do you like about working at Manitowoc?

"For me it was very convenient, only 8 miles from the house.As a contractor there were no benefits, but I knew that going in.With my 10 years of Pro E experience the work was a simple relatively unchallenging job."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"During this economic downturn they have a great many laid-off."

What don't you like about working at Manitowoc?

"They had almost no Pro E modeled parts in the library."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Teach the engineering people how to use the Pro E generated B/M on the drawings."
