What do you like about working at Macy's?

"It was ok, nothing remarkable, nothing bad. Made for a nice seasonal job, that eventually morphed into an On-Call position. Nice for while I'm in school, until it became too much."

"Not really, it's a pretty cut and dry interview/job. Good luck!"

What don't you like about working at Macy's?

"Low-paying, they'd use emotional manipulation to try and get me in to work short notice, even if I had something super important to do."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be more understanding of employees' lives, especially if they're going to school."

"Basic routines and clear expectations. Flexibility for scheduling and good atmosphere."

"Let your wishes be known loudly and frequently. You cannot move up the ranks easily, but if you push you might eventually squeeze into an opening."

"Ability to be promoted or get a raise in limited or non-existent. It is easier to get your first job than transfer to a better job."

"Improve management abilities to schedule, website functionality, and training skills."

"Making good use of my outstanding customer service skills as well as my knowledge about the merchandise and resources to help out customers."

"I would say lay down your plans and your expectations to your hiring manager. Be clear about your own goals and ask for them to do the same."

What don't you like about working at Macy's?

"I would have liked for the immediate managers to be more supportive of employees when it came to their expectations from them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would get more involved with employees. I would provide positive incentives for them to perform to their best abilities and exploit their potential. I would work on creating a pleasant, team-oriented working environment."

What do you like about working at Macy's?

"The people and the tasks that they always have me doing. As an on-call floater, I can get assigned to any dept at any time. It's fun having that kind of flexibility and it's always wonderful to know that Macy's feels that I can adapt to any dept anytime."
