"What I love: working hard and talking with the girls at the front end (cashiers). As well as talking with some associates and customers. What I hate: the crazy weather changes. I live in Texas though so it might be different for you. I love the cold but not the heat. Also, some customers, well, lets just say you have to be patient with them. Very patient."

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Great place to work for the college student."

What do you like about working at Home Depot?

"The hours are extremely flexible. You are able to work the times available, based upon your schedule (school, study, etc.)."

What don't you like about working at Home Depot?

"I dislike the potential for advancement. Yearly raises are below satisfactory, and moving up in position usually requires relocation, as higher-ups are usually permanent figures."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Re-evaluate your yearly raise policy, as raises occur months after given, with no back pay, and new hires tend to make more or the same as seasoned employees, due to inflation."
