"Originally Level 3 was a great place to work, empowering their employees. In the last 5 years or so it's become evident that the company management is more interested in numbers than people. I was riffed due to my longevity and salary."

"I started my career in telecommunications at Allnet in 1990, learning the business supporting the Cost of Access applications. Allnet was purchased by Frontier Communications in the mid 90s, which was then purchased by Global Crossing in 2000. Although Global Crossing filed for bankruptcy, I endured and had good times as the employees were allowed to be creative in finding ways to cut costs. In 2011 Global Crossing was purchased by Level 3 who is systematically dissolving Global Crossing."
