What do you like about working at NJM Insurance Group?

"Free coffee, free soup, pay salaries on time, contribute $for$ up to 6% towards 401K"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't bother, it is not worth it working there, you won't progress, you won't be appreciated, Human resources head dropped my salary by 30% after a 3 year contract because he refused to accept the verbal agreements I made with ex VP and assistant VP of IT and was unwilling to consider it. Even the now president got involved and promised he would look into it and of course did not. Developers there absolutely hate working there and stay on because of the 401K contribution from the company. They also tell me after I left there years ago that they hate the IT managers and supervisors, it's like working in a prison."

What don't you like about working at NJM Insurance Group?

"Culture, work, miss-trust, controlling, stifling, unappreciated, dishonest, IT management and the president don't honor their word, if you take off too much or take too much sick leave you get fired, they treat all IT staff with miss-trust, any creativity gets suppressed ......."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"IT supervisors are one of the main reasons why the IT operation cannot keep great skilled developers, create an environment of miss-trust, anxiety, and no regard for personal achievement."

"The pay was rather low since it was a startup, but at least it gave me a lot of room to grow and understand the business world."

"Let your employees do their work. The worst thing you can do is to hound your employees constantly."

"Learned many new technologies, APIs. Several aborted projects used new HTML5 APIs. Was given problem, freedom to develop best solution."

"I conducted technical interviews. We briefly hired extra programmers to meet deadline. My first question: what is the difference between PHP versions 5.1, 5.2, 5.3"

What don't you like about working at Ouibox?

"No business. No new projects. Often worked until dawn with overseas assistant, but had to be available to answer questions during the day."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Please get more customers and projects so I can work for again."

"This is a regulated industry. Be sure to understand what your role will be and what are the expectations of the position you are applying for."

What don't you like about working at Boston Scientific?

"Too many SOPs following a warning letter. Speed to market was slowed down considerably and numerous corporate wide procedures were added that impeded innovation and the inability to accelerate development of crucial medical products."

"Minimize non-value added SOPs and allow for people to be more empowered to make decisions."

What do you like about working at Savi Technology?

"Wide range of proejcts, interesting technology, some travel, great colleagues. The company was a very progressive place tot work prior to acquisition by Lockheed Martin. Stock options were a real incentive to do your best work."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"No real advice for anyone considering working for SavI Technology. Lockheed Martin is reputed to be shopping the company for sale."

What don't you like about working at Savi Technology?

"Sometimes difficult to see project efforts become real systems. No real advancement path for East Coast employees. Company HQ was in Mtn View CA. Finally decided to RIF the entire SW development group and outsource to India, with poor result."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Accept fast nickels instead of always trying to make slow dimes. Project proposals tended to center on existing company offers rather than adapt to customer's actual needs. Hardware offers were very good, but Product Management lost customer focus as the company matured."
