"I enjoyed the prestige of working for a leading law firm. I enjoyed how much autonomy I was given to perform my job even though I had two reporting managers. I also enjoyed the fact that Latham is a technology leader in the legal sector and so I was introduced to some of the latest trends and products."

"I did not like the fact that Latham did not send their employees to be certified in some of the latest litigations tools. Instead, they let go most of the staff to higher employees that already had the certification or skill set. They did not think about the relationships that people in my position had formed with attorneys and partners and made an intelligent business decision without considering the hard work it took for us to build the relationships with those internal customers."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Consider that a good business decision is not always firing and rehiring. Train staff who have built the relationships and the trust with clients because dedicated employees are a companies greatest asset."
