Land Development Project Manager at Taylor Morrison
in Folsom, CA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Smaller builder, large corporate mentality"

What do you like about working at Taylor Morrison?

"Morrison Homes attempted to be a boutique home builder while maintaining a high production level. This was unique because the developments weren't as cookie-cutter as most mass developers and allowed for some personal input."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Look at the product line, the recent innovations, corporate approval ratings (for new developments), cash flow and revenue spreads because that is what will impede future growth and the potential to continue developing. Especially until the housing market fully recovers."

What don't you like about working at Taylor Morrison?

"As much as they attempted to break out of the mold, revenue and costs still drove the product, so creativity wasn't always appreciated unless it could improve the bottom line."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Clean house, remove the old-school thinkers and innovate on an office-by-office and regional scale, not globally."
