"Good company with continuous learning opportunities. Not easy to move. Culture depends on the team."
"I worked for Lam for 7 years. I was treated well bell the Etch engineering department and believe that the managers for the department care about their employees."
"LAM research is successful company to work for"
"Lam Research has the right culture to service both employee and share holders. The company always focuses on revenue growth in long term, and at the same time they care for their employees. As an employee in Finance department, I have opportunities to take on more responsibilities and build skillets. Colleges are not only friendly to work with but also professional."
"very good and satisfying - need to explore into new ventures"
"Great benefits. Typical 401K, medical, dental, vision, ESP. Good work-life balance."
"I have worked at Lam Research for 3 years. I have gained valuable experience on my current tool set and the semiconductor indusry as a whole. The management team is disconnected with what actually happens on a daily basis."
"Great company, too much politics."
"No comments, just too much politics."
"I have worked at Lam Research for over 20 years. Most of of that times span was under excellent supervision and management. However, in recent years the quality of management has deteriorated. The core values of Lam are excellent in principle, but not in execution: "Mutual Trust and Respect" are only words and are not put into practice. There are no 180 reviews of mangers and directors. Vice Presidents listen only to apple-polishing managers. Retribution for fact based disagreement with managers is frequent. I actually heard one director say that Lam "...doesn't need smart people. It needs people to work hard." This in direct contraction to the core value of "Lam Research is where successful people want to work." Well not exactly in contradiction if success is compensation for effective toadying."
"Lam Research is a well run large corporation. On an individual contributor level, you will find a very structured and at times administrative work environment. Since the merger with NVLS, engineers are becoming more specialized in job function and more focused on process rather than quick results. If you enjoy working for a company where you can wear many different hats, this is probably not for you."
"Overall a good workplace. Helpful coworkers. Good work-life balance. A bit low on compensation but Ok considering Portland is not a costly city to live in."
"So far they have been a great company and treat their employees very well. They have great benefits and compensation with flexible hours and scheduling."
"Lam Research is a dynamic and viable company that encourages its employees to take risk in achieving goals and rewards those that succeed."
