"Was a challenge. Interesting meeting new people when cold calling and creating new business relationships. Enjoyed being out on the road and contacting new companies as well as current book of business."

What don't you like about working at Konica Minolta?

"I didn't enjoy mopping up the mess of prior account executives. There were many cases when a past account rep had sold the company something they didn't need in order to make the sale bigger."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Just to keep an eye on their account execs in regards to what they are selling the client. If these reps just sell to make the quota, the next time the customer is ready to buy and they have not been happy, they will not be a repeat customer."

"I liked my bosses and the team organization. I enjoyed being challenged and motivated to bring in sales. I feel that anyone who is employed here will grow as a salesman and will be benefited from their experience."

"Dress professionally and research KMBS before going in for an interview. Be knowledgeable about the company's products and day to day activities."

What don't you like about working at Konica Minolta?

"I didn't like that the compensation plan had changed so drastically. It left me in a bind financially and ultimately led to my resignation."

"Keep on challenging your teams and making KMBS a great place to work."

"With the exception of Management my coworkers were all good people."

"Try the competition. They pay better."

"There was no training. No sales support. Very little opportunity for advancement. Managment would use Nazi-like terror tactics on the staff. My managers lied to clients at every opportunity to make a buck. Inferior and overpriced product ensures a low commission check. Horrible customer service as a whole."

"Put together some sort of training process. Treat people like human beings. STOP LYING TO PEOPLE."

"I would suggest that they ask that they shadow someone in the current position for a day, so that they can observe the work environment."

"Work environment is very unprofessional."

"Support Staff should be more supportive. Language and discussions in workplace are in-appropriate."

"Being able to manage a territory and essentially run my own business and maintain client relationships."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The interviewing manager(s) will try and talk you out of the job because outside sales is not easy. If they offer for you to ride along with one of the existing reps, do it before you deny or accept the job offer. The rewards are high so you have to be self-motivated and have a desire to win in order to be successful."

What don't you like about working at Konica Minolta?

"My current manager and hot-knocking in 100 degree weather."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Outside sales managers should not have to manage their employees - they should be part of a support mechanism and provide sales reps with the tools and assistance needed to do their job."
