"This company doesn’t follow its core values. There is no work life home life balance. They create stress and you can never feel accomplished at this job. I recently retired after 42 years because it really got bad!"

"TERRIBLE place to work! Constantly dealing with favoritism, head clerks that don't care about getting your breaks on time. If you do one thing wrong they hone in on that and treat you bad for the rest of your time working there. Get in trouble for doing things other people do too and they don't get in trouble. Very weak work ethic amongst employees, alot of teenagers all lazy and complain about doing their job. Head clerks constantly disappear when you need them, No room for growth. Not respected, not recognized for your hard work. Customers can be terrible but you are expected to be all smiles/friendly. You don't even need to be qualified to become a headclerk, get paid max amount just to stand around all day. Hours used to be OK but now they are AWFUL, i'm lucky to even get 30 hours now. (Worked here for over 5 years). And they are all late night shifts Only pros are flexible schedules and decent benefits tldr: Cons: Favoritism Terrible hours Severe lack of communication Expect to be on the head clerks 'bad list' if you do one thing wrong Head clerks (managers) are terrible at their job"

"It’s been several years since I worked for Kingsoopers but what I miss the most are my regular customers and my coworkers. It was great being welcomed into the company. All the employees made sure we all worked together to keep the company clean and the customers happy."

"I applied as a part-time cashier. I told Kings that I was furloughed from my other job because of the COVID-19 crisis and that I would like to stay on part-time after I was retired from my other job after the COVID-19 crisis. My first week after training I told Kings that my other job opened back up and I gave Kings 9 days notice of the days I could not work. They scheduled me anyway and the manager I spoke to was very rude to me and said she does the schedule two weeks in advance (news to me )my options were to talk to my actual job or to call off at King's but I was on probation, the choice was mine. I gave them nine days' notice and in the employee handbook I signed for, it said they schedule out a week in advance. They set me up to fail!"

"I've worked for King Soopers for almost 19 years. They are a Kroger based company that thrives in changing the grocery store retail shopping experience. They lead change and innovation as well as succeeding in world-class customer service. The services that they provide continue to change to stay ahead of the customer's needs. Kroger is in a very competitive grocery market. It is the number one grocery chain in Colorado. The company has given me the tools to lead a successful team and drive highly satisfied customers."

"This horrible company and store does not deserve your business or money. The management/supervisors are beyond rude, especially the store manager. If he were to talk to the customers like he talks to his untrained, unsupervised, disrespectful and unhelpful employees I am sure beyond a doubt that he would be facing a discrimination lawsuit. He puts NO ONE else first, except himself. Why are employees not included in OUR VALUES: Integrity, Honesty, Respect, Inclusion, Diversity, Safety. As a former employee who was just fired within the first week because the schedule had been changed and was not told about the change, here is a direct quote for new employees, "I know it can be tough as a new associate, you are going to have questions and that's okay. Your management team is here to answer any questions you may have." And yet when I asked a direct question about my schedule change to the Store Manager, I was told, "You can consider yourself separated from the company!" WOW! On the first day, within the first hour I had 6 different employees approach me and tell me to "get out while you can because the management is horrible and lacks communication". No wonder there is such an extremely high turnover of employees at this store and customers are not getting the service they pay good money for. I implore any and all who consider to grace this place with their presence to please give your business elsewhere. I also encourage the company to contact me to learn the truth about Store #083..... if they truly want to hear it, which I highly doubt."

"I have over 5 years of management experience and I was offered the Produce Clerk position making 9.13 per hour. In 6 months, I will receive a $1.00 raise. In a few years, I might actually be able to afford to eat. If you are just starting out, you will want to get as many hours as you can, even if you need to get more hours from other departments. It would also be in your best interest to find a second job."

"It is not a place you can have a career at unless you know the manager you work for and are friends. They do not promote for skill, they promote for who can be the meanest person there for the employees to hate., You should be very lazy for that position and disappear a lot. If you want to move up, go somewhere else, and go to school instead."
