"Unfortunately with the consolidation underway, new employee interviews is not an option with this company. Otherwise, I would advise potential interviewees to be confident and knowledgeable in the area that they are applying for."

What don't you like about working at Kidde Dual Spectrum?

"Pending consolidation of the Goleta facility to North Carolina with little if any advanced notice."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would have preferred a more open an honest dialog regarding the facility move."

"The management not engaging with the employees, I would not reconcider taking a position with this company."

"When there was work to do, it was challenging and exciting to interact with customers and other engineers on the projects"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"When negotiating at the table with this company, tell them that you do not want to start as a Temporary Hire. I fell into that trap, and as I found out later... that meant that I was working for them without any benefits, no sick time off, no holiday time off, no medical coverage... nothing! Your are forewarned!"

What don't you like about working at Kidde Dual Spectrum?

"Managers are somewhat disorganized, and there is a noticeable lack of direction and communications from the managers. I was never sure what my actual job was, and it seemed to change on a daily basis. When the work assignments do come, it was very chaotic to scramble to meet the expectations of the customers due to no prior discussions about the project ahead of time to the team that was to take action. Again, the managers are not organized enough to bring this prior knowledge to the team to start making up a plan."
