"I worked for JC Penney in the late 90's as a second job to save money for a down payment on a house. I returned to JC Penney in the summer of 2013. I am happy to work there and to learn about retail sales and customer support in the sales area. This is a good company to work for although this is not within my career goals or experience. "The pay was not good. They kept us working just under 40 hrs so a lot of associated didn't have benefits."

"To have full time employees actually work the 40 hrs they're supposed to, so they can be eligible for benefits."

"Workers need a permante schedule during the week and make sure 15 minute breaks are giving."

"the employers expect too much from the associates. customers are sometimes difficult to deal with."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would schedule more employees to work at the same department. i'm always there by myself for the whole day. I wouldn't delegate so many responsibilities to one associate. i'm in charge of customer service, ringing up customers, cleaning the floor, folding the tables, in charge of the fitting room, and in charge of counting the money every night."
