"Ixia was technology company filled with different types of engineers from different fields and backgrounds. You had the opportunity to grow and learn new things from different people."

"Management structure was terrible. Management only care about numbers and not the actually work you do.Company is way too too heavy."

"Take in all factors of your employees; just don't look at the numbers as those were easy to doctored. Look at the overall skills your employee and bring to the company."

"The amount of experience gained in such a short period of time. Always on the cutting edge of new technologies. The amount of responsibility given."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Come extremely prepared with a vast knowledge of IT infrastructure such as Wintel, Servers, SAN, NAS, tape backup, Cisco, etc..."
What don't you like about working at IXIA?
"Because of the small amount of staff, it takes a great toll on home life. 60+ hour work weeks are much too common. I'm all for helping out at any given time but 60+ hours a week has become the standard."

"Review the amount of staff members, ensure backup personnel is on-boarded, utilize your off-shore resources."

"It was a fast paced atmosphere that I enjoyed. I was responsible for the corporate price list and all software release engineering change orders."

"They acquired another company Catapult and they laid-off Ixia employees to compensate for the additional headcount."

"Despite not having a sense of direction internally, from an external perspective, the company is moving in the right direction."

"Don't expect a lot of direction when you arrive. But it's a good opportunity if you arrive here with clear vision and self direction."

"Company objectives and direction gets lost when communicated to mid and lower level management."

"Optimize internal operations and build the company to scale to the level that is being pursued in the market."

"I've worked for Ixia since 1999, recently let go in October 2013. It was a very long run, mainly because it's a good company to work for, and it has the unique ability to stay afloat in a down economy. Overall, the company knows how to stay in business, and that's saying a lot these days. On a personal level, you will be challenged. A lot. In many ways. Overall sentiment is good. I had a lot of great years there, learned many things, lots of adventures."
