Submit a Review"The ability to control the income your making, by working and following up with customers. You get to work with a variety of customers, and a variety of co workers. The hours are long. But the pay is so worth it."
"The internet sales manager role is supposed to be a stepping stone into upper management within the dealership. You're trusted with more responsibility and an opportunity to work the hottest leads in the dealership. In a good dealership the internet sales team are some of the highest paid people in the group. Unfortunately for me some short sighted policies and a slip shot approach to promotion led this department to be a holding tank for those who could stand to work there."

What do you like about working at Yark Auto?
"I loved having my own niche in the auto industry, that I was extremely successful at. I single-handedly created a multi-million dollar internet sales department for our dealer group, in the Used Car Building. The rest of the New Car Franchises (8 New Car Locations) as well as the other 4 Used Car Lot's Internet Sales Representatives would emulate my entire process because of my success and results. I loved helping customers get into the vehicle they wanted, especially when I had to fight to get them financed when I knew they deserved a vehicle and would make the payments. It was very rewarding to see the fruits of my labor with creating a department and watching it grow from the ground-up and I was the Gross Profit Sales Leader for the entire organization, in a business when at the time, it was thought that my position could not generate profits, let alone lead the organization that was the #1 in Sales in NW Ohio and SE Michigan."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"A tip that I would have for others interviewing with this company is that there are huge financial awards that can be achieved here if they are willing to make the sacrifices. That is in this industry as a whole, not with just this employer although this specific employer does work longer hours. I would also say that enthusiasm and building rapport is what will contribute to their success, along with gaining product knowledge and to always keep an open mind and not to pre-judge any customer."
What don't you like about working at Yark Auto?
"After 7+ years, the hours and schedule wore on me. I believe there needs to be a balance in both your professional and personal life and in the car/auto industry, there is no balance. The money was definitely rewarding but at the sacrifice of a personal and family life."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To provide the continual resources and not be short-sighted with direct cost vs. opportunity cost in the grand scheme of the Internet Business Development Center. The necessary tools are very inexpensive in comparison to the profits that even 1 sale generates."
