"I liked knowing that the work I did helped, that the men who I talked to on design reviews were counting on me with their lives. It was higher stakes than I was used to playing for, but I would go back tomorrow and work for free (unfortunately, I think that that is a federal offense or something. O well.)"

"What ever you are working on, don't think of it as a subsystem, assembly, or vehicle. 6 guys are going to call that place home, and their families are counting on you to bring them back. Let that insight guide your actions, and you can't go wrong."

"The fact that politics (outside my control) killed the program. We had beautifully engineered solutions that we will never get to show anyone."
