What do you like about working at TransAmerica?

"The people at Transamerica have a passion for retirement plans and are great to work with. The upper management is innovative and communicates its vision. The company seeks to promote from within and encourages higher education and training."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The company is great to work for, and the people are very friendly and want to help. Plan compliance is an excellent source of help. It is important to understand the structure that is expected of the position and consider if it is right for you."

What don't you like about working at TransAmerica?

"I did not have a complaint about the company until I transferred into installation services. Even though I proved to excel at relationships and communications, I found the daily regimentation restrictive. I prefer to work in an open structure and have difficulty in limiting certain tasks to specific days."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management needs to find a better way to ensure a better job/personality fit. The environment is very supportive, but when structure does not fit, it is hard to muscle around it."
