"INOVA Fairfax has cutting edge technology, brilliant providers, a great system for training its employees, an attractive interior, and a strong reputation. If I had to be a patient, I would want to be treated at INOVA Fairfax. However, unfortunately, the hospital system as a whole seems to spend more on their marketing than they do on fairly compensating their employees; their clinical technicians and nurses in particular. I am sure that proper compensation is a difficult goal to achieve due to government restrictions and higher up politics, but something has got to change. For the incredible amount of responsibility and patient care that such employees are coached and intrinsically encouraged to deliver to INOVA's patrons, you would think that the company would place greater emphasis on making sure its internal members are taken care of too. In addition, there are multiple great benefits offered by INOVA, but if you look at the fine print, the insurance policies either have high deductibles or coinsurances that, when already barely making it, would really discourage an employee from seeking health care unless absolutely pertinent. More often than not, I feel overworked and underpaid. But the work I do speaks for itself, and I sleep well at night knowing that I have truly made an impact. I just wish our needs as vital employees were a little better met, is all."
