"I worked for Innovatia for 8 years and loved a lot of it. But they do not have a good system for career advancement. Each team had only one senior writer. If you are placed on a team that already has a senior writer, you cannot advance from intermediate. That said, I had excellent benefits and great managers."

What do you like about working at Innovatia?

"I loved the work. The people were fantastic. When I wanted to move up to Editor, my team lead was more than happy to help me out and in no time I was an Editor. I gained a lot of great experience and made some life long friendships."

What don't you like about working at Innovatia?

"When I left it was because of the way I was treated towards the end. For the last 4 months I was there, I felt like I was being disrespected. I was not given straight answers to very simple questions. I felt like I was being given the runaround. People were becoming permanent while I was still a contractor, but I had much more experience and was with the company longer than some of the people who became permanent. When I asked for an explanation, I was not given one. Just told that it was a numbers issue. I got the same response when I did not get one of the Information Architect positions. Instead of explaning what I still needed for the position, I was told that it was a numbers issue and that they took 3 instead of 4. They did not help me by explaining what I could work on for next time. I was treated unfairly towards the end and that is why I left."

"I gave my suggestions when I left the company."
