Internationale Nederlanden Groep (ING) is a global financial institution that provides various financial management programs, including asset management, financial advice, direct banking, investment banking and life insurance. It was created in 1991 through a merger between Nationale Nederlanden and NMB-Postbank group but its original family tree can be traced back to Doodenbos Kooger Koog in 1743. With ongoing operations in different countries, the company has increased its size and market share. In 2000, ING purchased ReliaStar Financial and Aetna Financial Service. Since then, its consumer banking division has grown considerably.

Two of the first designers of the company were Roberto Meyer and Jeroen van Schooten. On September 16, 2002, the company was inaugurated by Prince Willem-Aleexander of the Netherlands. As of today, ING provides services in countries throughout the globe, including Belgium, Luxembourg, the US, China, India, Thailand, and Turkey.

ING provides various banking and financial services, including cash management and corporate finance, to many companies and institutions. The company’s main headquarter is located in heart of Zuidas in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Investment management is the primary service that ING provides. It offers a comprehensive range of investment solutions and services to different clients and companies from over 33 countries, including some of the world’s fastest growing economies. Their insurance services operate in the US, Asia and Europe, with almost €16 billion worth of capital. Their insurance services are different from their financial management division, but they are under the same company name.
