Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Run away."

What don't you like about working at IBM?

"9 out of 10 people there are a waste of air. Projects get screwed up and then the management gets bonuses and promotions. Creativity is stifled. The people who brown nose best succeed. Too many layers of managers who don't have a clue."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Don't promote people into management roles that have no technical knowledge. Carefully review all employees and punt the dead wood. Stop relying on lousy foreign workers because they save the company money."

What do you like about working at IBM?

"I travel a lot around the USA."

What don't you like about working at IBM?

"They did have enough work to keep you busy."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire more full time than contractors."

"I liked working at IBM, just wish I had more direction on my responsibilities; they were not too clear."

What do you like about working at IBM?

"I had my own office, it was quiet, I could focus on researching what our competition was doing and place on a server the project managers could log into."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ask a lot of questions regarding what your responsibilities are. Get a complete understanding. Perhaps as project managers are excellent at selling they should do well. Have a great education and experience."

What don't you like about working at IBM?

"Just wish I had more of a job description and could have added more value to the organization. I wish I have a pc that worked better than it did."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I don't have any except I wish they would hire me back as a full-time permanent employee."

"The team was great. I headed up the team of 27 trainers in a culturally significant area."

"Sometimes the heat in Texas was unbearable."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None, I was happy with the guidance they gave."

"MAPICS was another company in trouble and they were bought out in 2005."

"It was close to my home in Northridge."

"The supervisors were difficult to work with and you were micro managed."
