"The job is not in my field, but I am looking for a position in the IT department."

"Monitor new employees and make sure they do not develop any bad habits early on."

"I like helping each individual customer. I like being able to see my efforts in merchandising reflected in the weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports. I like most of the people I work with."

"Retail experience helps. Being able to follow simple instructions is necessary. Quick thinking and friendliness are important."

What don't you like about working at Hy-Vee?

"It doesn't feel like a dream job to me. I also don't like working with such a large range of ages. For example, the baggers and checkers up front are as young as 15, and my boss is over 50. I am 22 and it is difficult to form a solid team throughout the store with so many different ages. I also dislike doing practically the exact same thing every week. I sometimes feel that I'm not doing something significant enough or important enough."

"More attention to detail, improve appearance of department and product placement, care more about the department."

"It was hit and miss on how busy they were so employees were either constantly running or standing/preparing for later."

"There weren't really many issues with the company although the longer I was employed the less hours I would receive."
