"DO NOT GO THERE !!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless they change the management. Get rid of plant 1 supervisor, and put plant 2 supervisor in charge of all af HS Die."

"The plant 1 supervisor has put friends and family before the company. This is killing HS Die."

"Fire the plant 1 supervisor, and put plant 2 supervisor in charge of all af HS Die."

"Highly skilled craftsmen capable of creating quality complicated tooling. Machinery and facilities are state of art."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"When talking to ownership be positive and assertive the company is number one. If meeting the plant supervisor you can meet him at the local tavern during his hour and a half lunch or standing outside having a smoke."

What don't you like about working at H.S. Die & Engineering?

"Plant management is out of touch with employee capabilities and customer needs. Trucking manager is incapable, and plant supervisor has no desire for the trade. Quality is being compromised for personal gain and ego while the team and company suffers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Become more proactive and less reactive of an organization. Move management to create a better work environment with a positive outlook and creative thinking."

"No concideration for personal life. No opportunity for experiencing or learning new technology."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"THis company needs a management overhaul. No one in a management position has a formal education in managing people."

"As far as benefits, it is a great place to work. There is a massive bias within the company and to move up the ladder to a good position such as: engineer, programming, or management. You either have to know the Steel family or have some sort of connection within the higher ranks. They are awful with pay raises and want to keep the young workers' wages as low as possible for as long as possible. I had to go remind them I need a raise four months after I was promoted to machinist."
