"I have worked at Hospira for 3 1/2 years. The company has been strong in trying to be customer oriented and promote a quality product. Keeping employees better involved and promote team building would further decrease turnover but create a system that would reduce error and increase productivity."
"I've worked at the company since 2010. Management has changed quite a bit. It is not as easy to move up and grow within the company. I have learned a lot and gained a lot of experience since being there."
"I have worked at Hospira's San Diego location for roughly six months now and while I would not claim to be familiar with any other site, I can offer some insight for this location. Hopsira's San Diego location is an engineering site that focuses on (re) designing medication infusers that are used in hospital environments. The work is pretty typical for a large company but the tools they provide are good even if the people are, at times, a little too uptight and rigid."
"Hospira is something different"
What do you like about working at Hospira?
"Making a difference toward people's wellness.."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Good place to start your career. Many things to learn. After that you have to move on since Hospira doesn't value internal talents."
What don't you like about working at Hospira?
"Weak management and no development growth plan for talent employees. Staff manager hands out performance appraisal without consulting with the first line manager. Ohh, project LEAN is in effect. Layoff is the new trend."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hold people accountable including top managers and executives. Why do we hire a new VP every week It hurts to see that we're so heavy at the top."
