"If you want to be a real professional. It is not a place to stay. If compensation is your main concern and you can stand those gossip, it is not a bad place."

"Poor management, too many small groups, too systematical tax preparation, no memo regarding clients concern because managers and partners keep the clients as their own properties."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Partners and managers need to follow ethic code -due diligent and reasonable care for their clients."

"Tax season is not as busy as BDO Seidman LLP."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"make sure you will work on the projects that they promise you for. They hired me for venture capital and private equity clients with international transactions. But they don't have a hand full of VC clients and there is no clients who need international tax service."

What don't you like about working at Hood & Strong?

"There is low professional growth opportunities and the management is not efficient."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Documents tax related information and keep memo of all the tax planning. Efficiently assign projects to staff members, not just the staff members who use to work with the partners or managers."

"cross use of staff between San Jose and San Francisco office led to some engagements with lengthy commutes; Do not schedule planning and wrap up 100% of the time"
