"Worst year of my life. Work expectations are beyond ridiculous. Management lies and has no integrity. They provide no guidance and have no problem throwing you under the bus because you can't do a job meant for three people."
"I worked in the Columbus office for 6 years. This is a churn and burn company that forces you to work weekends, holidays and to miss your vacations. The managers have no people skills, no personalities, no life outside of work. The partners are even worse. Completely lacking in any people OR technical skills. The head tax partner is still struggling with EXCEL! smh. No growth potential, unrealistic budgets and deadlines. People in the Columbus office are mean spirited and spend too much time gossiping. Horrible work life balance and a terrible company to work for. I received a huge raise when I walked out and went to another firm. This is a tiny company that likes to think they are a big firm."
"This is a small Mom and Pop little accounting firm. Worst job I ever had. Minimum hours in the summer are 65 hours a week. In busy times, we had to work 7 days a week and at least 13 hours a day. The managers have no life and their technical skills are completely inadequate. There is no training, no enjoyment, no fun. Horrible bosses, mean people. Stay far away from here!"
"I've worked with Crowe Horwath for more than a year. It's a very welcoming company that provides a great work-life balance."
"I worked a busy season at Crowe in Nashville. I liked a lot of the people that I worked with in various offices, however I had a few peers that were unfriendly."
"This is an excellent public accounting firm to kickstart your career out of school. We compete with the Big 4 but we're at a size that feels like a large family where partners and other high level experts are very accessible allowing lower levels to have the resources to learn and grow quickly. Our clients vary from large, publicly traded companies to mid-sized companies and organizations across all industries."
"Doesn't measure up to Big 4.Stressful place that is not rewarding at all."

What don't you like about working at Crowe Horwath?
"No work-life balance despite their giving lip service to it. Very stressful and cut-throat environment. Unreasonable budgets and sales goals for managers and above. Everyone is expected to meet these goals. Sales ability is valued at the expense of technical ability and client service. Only those people who live and breathe the Crowe mantra and live their values are rewarded, even if they are weak technically. Cultural diversity is almost nonexistent despite giving lip service to that. Very conservative Midwestern firm where you can find ethnic support groups that have no power in a largely White Ango environment."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Keep an eye on how your senior management treat their employees. Partners and senior management play favorites with certain employees while mistreating others based on personal bias. Exceptions to well-documented Crowe policies are made for certain people but not others, Also, if a person feels uncomfortable selling, he/she should not be forced to. This is not what the person was trained for."

When I run into prior co-workers or partners, they all still know me by first and last name, and this is because of the respect they have for each person who is employeed there."

But my advice to any company would be to show what one can benifit a company and to be honest to what they can bring, not just technically, but as how they ineract with others, level of teamwork and work ethic."

"Not sure if this is a question for Crowe management or for the company applying for. As for Crowe, they did many things to try to keep work flow smooth, however in the IT department there were long timers who kept their information to themselves, which prevented a group/teamwork. In time this changed, however presented resentment. IT, a difficult department in general, so to sum up. a manager who had the personal skills to bring together all assest from all employees together (as best as possible) to promote teamwork and building on each others skills and talents."
