Receiving Supervisor

What don't you like about working at Home Depot?

"There is not enough time in a shift to get everything done all the time."

Receiving Supervisor
in The Colony, TX

"Home Depot management is clueless."

What do you like about working at Home Depot?

"I like the training - it is like Home Depot pays you to learn! You can practice with the materials at the store before screwing up your project at home."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Home Depot would be a great part-time job. I would not recommend working there full-time unless you want to be married to your job. Home Depot is not a family-friendly employer."

What don't you like about working at Home Depot?

"The pay and hours suck. Home Depot preaches customer service but is not in the practice of taking care of the customer. The phrase, customer service is for external use. internally, Home Depot is more concerned about controlling hours and pay. They prefer to have one associate in three to four departments than to overstaff to ensure every customer is taken care of."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Managers need to quit ACTING like they care about people and start really caring. They are paid to care, but it is an act. Home Depot needs to find good people to place in management. The number one asset for a company is quality people. Home Depot is lacking good people. It has become a fill-in-the-dummy-where-you can type of environment. I feel they do this to try to save money on payroll. it definitely shows when you go to a store and actually need help."
