"The current market is being dominated by internet sales. Our parent company is not responding to the new competition quickly enough and we are losing sales, not customers, to the new threat.There are no medical benefits, retirement packages, or meaningful buyouts of a successful territory."

"Listen to the independent representatives input and respond with products that allow us to compete in the current market place. Be industry leaders."

"I enjoyed the work. I enjoyed my colleagues and working on projects from start to finish."

"I was laid off because Herff Jones, Inc. sold our division. I do not know what is happening there now with the new company, but I hear it's worse then ever."

"Herff Jones let the managers make promises to customers and not follow through. Was actually embarrassing."

"If I were running the show, I would definitely cut back on wasting money from not knowing the market."

"The creative work was often fulfilling and satisfying, and learning new technology as it applied to production was beneficial. Depending on the department the people were very pleasant to work with."

"Smile a lot, and be very agreeable and perky. They like positive, can-do attitudes."

"Staff was treated like five-year-olds. A lot of condescending, insane rules, scare-tactics to get things done on time. The environment was very oppressive."

"Find management that doesn't use scare tactics and bullying to manipulate employees."

"You are your own boss- you have creative flexibility and freedom- You get a list of prospects to call on- you get website leads"

"Do your research on the company before the interview, show persistance when trying to get a hold of the hiring manager- they want to see that you don't just call one time and give up- keep calling, but remain professional- and get ready for a long interview process... You will interview with 6 or 7 people and on the final interview they will fly you out to Indianapolis, IN."

"Your salary has to cover all business expenses.. even though it is tax deductible, it drains you financially."

"Implement more structure for new hires- require them to submit a weekly route of schools they plan to visit."

"The interview process is lengthy and they will only allow you to work there in sales as an independent contract if your credit is stellar."

"Management in Indiana liked to tell me how the money I was bringing in for them which was real money was coming from schools that were not real because they were charter schools."

"I helped bring the schools to a higher level that students could respect by helping them develop a mascot for their school, class rings, announcements, etc."
