"I enjoyed working with the people. Everyone at the health department was supportive and thankful for all my help. I was an intern for 270 hours as part of my Masters program requirements."

"This is a wonderful opportunity, but do not expect a lot of money working in this field."

What don't you like about working at Barren River District Health Department?

"There was no opportunity for getting a job there. In public health jobs are hard to find and once my internship ended my preceptor wanted to offer me a position, but most jobs are federally funded and there were no openings."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management should always be willing to assist workers and be easy to talk to. It is imperative that management have excellent interpersonal skills."
