"It is a good enough company but rising the ranks is rare. This can be construed as a good and bad thing. Good, because everyone stays and the company is alright to work with. Bad, because the room for growth is limited. A lot of the new supervisors become too micro-managers that growth is stunted. The benefits could be better for a health insurance company. Overall, it really depends where you want to work. Remember though, in any customer service job, You are replaceable."

"I have never worked with such an excellent group of people before, both on the IT and the businessside."

"I can't think of anything right now. Just be honest."

What don't you like about working at Health Net?

"The current trend toward outsourcing has cost a lot of American jobs."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Give American workers a chance. I would have taken a pay cut to save other people's jobs."

"I've developed wonderful experience working at Health Net that has enabled me to grow professionally, technically, and socially. I've sharpened my presentation skills, development knowledge, and overall production speed. Though the atmosphere and corporate environment does not appeal to me the jobs and responsibility have been terrific."

"If you're looking for a stable marketing, writing, or basic graphic design job Health Net is a good start."

What don't you like about working at Health Net?

"I don't like the dull atmosphere, poor management, slow job turn around, and it's been very slow for five months now which makes me feel my job may be in jeopardy."

"My suggestions for management is to simply be aware of what is going inside the department."

"Be open minded and respect that the interviewer may not know very much. Dont do anything that will appear to make you awkward to work with (I guess this is general advice). Dont expect a long term post, the situation is very fragile."

What don't you like about working at Health Net?

"The current management policy of outsourcing and lack of detailed analysis of what the problems actually are. Lack of continuity and purpose. HN changes IT policy way too much"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Reveiw the actual results of the outsourcing; you will find that there are double the number of on-shore developers and less productivity; and no continuity of developers. You are dependant on the US immigration policy of allowing immigrant workers on a 6month basis - as there is unemployment this is likely to change. Reduce the damage, hedge your bets by employing system experts from previous HN employee pool. Audit! Audit Audit!"
