"Although my professional growth was good but this department has major marketing core product definition and communication issues, where end product was not as desirable to customers, therefore this department has been terminated after I left about 1/2 year."

"My manager trusts my abilities, therefore I have been assigned to 3 major core programs, I got promoted to Director of Engineering less than a year."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Make sure you are familiar with telecommunication switching network. understand wireless network communication, and have strong software development skill on the embedded real time system."

What don't you like about working at Harris Corp.?

"Marketing personnel who were responsible for this major deployment got too involved with engineers and its projects decision because he was previously engineering manager."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"You want to be sure all the managers know the big picture of what we are producing and make sure engineering develops what customer's core requirements. If there is major development issue with core requirement be sure to communicate that with customer in earlier phase to reduce potential major cost damage. Manager needs to communicate to engineer about what is nice to have features vs must have features, so engineer don't spend too much time on nice to have features."
