If you can't manage multiple priorities GR is not the place for you. There has been a rotating cast of senior executives, which hopefully has stabilized."

"While I enjoyed being able to work from home, the company leaves little room for advancement unless the individual becomes close friends with management. When an agent works from home as an At Home Agent, the advancement options are even more limited. There are also policy issues within the company that force agents to frequently talk customers into purchasing products the customer states they cannot afford. I was forced to constantly scam customers just to make one more sale."

"DEMAND that you come on as Full-Time STAFF. Otherwise, they will lead you on as Contract-to-Hire status for years."

What don't you like about working at Guthy-Renker?

"Extremely top-heavy with management. I have never worked at a company with so many VPs in just one department. The company survives on over-paid Management, and contract employees (very few actual Full-Time Staff employees). Management/Employee Ratio is 4 to 1."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management, stop acting as if you belong in a little click and start actually working WITH your employees. Start hiring more employees and less managers. And, for God's Sake, PROMOTE from WITHIN."

"Ineptitude in upper management due to nepotism. Many good people have been used and disgarded by such people. I am not alone; they have a bad reputation."
