"The IT department was divided into multiple groups. (Asis helpdesk, sccm, telecom) This was understandable as the number of faculty, staff and students that were in need of support would have been too pressing of an issue to successfully fulfill these needs daily."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The management I was covered under were upstanding individuals. I have no complaints about them. With this position, I had the opportunity to see how the IT field operates in the eyes of full time IT professionals."
"I worked with my Professor for 2 years. It was a good experience. I basically worked in an environmental lab. I worked on water quality analysis, metal testing, pavement material testing, and so on. It was really interesting. My professor was very helpful for my research and other works."

"When negotiating make sure of the requirements for tenure. You might get stuck like others. You will have lost several years and then still not get tenure regardless of your excellent performance znd research."

"I graduate in May and the position is no longer appropriate for me because I will no longer be a student."

"I think they do a wonderful job. For the field of education, they excel at what they do."
"I started at Georgia Southern University Student-Athlete Services two years ago during my sophomore year at school here and I immediately realized it was a perfect fit for me. They allowed me to work with my class schedule and another job all while being able to learn and move up in my position. "I would suggest that they work on providing solution manuals for the courses offered for tutoring to the tutors as a way to refresh their memories of the problems."

"I don't believe this is applicable, since only Georgia Southern students who inquire with professors can get this position. In any case, it helps to have good grades and a certain amount of leadership on display."
What don't you like about working at Georgia Southern University?
"I didn't enjoy the lack of tech support for software needed to do a good job of tutoring Java and Visual Basic, but that's really all I can complain about."

"I would say that in the future, better records should be kept of students who came in for tutoring so that better hours could be set for tutors."
"I worked as an IT analyst as a graduate assistant. I loved the job because the workload was diverse, one day I was writing SQL reports for the Financial Aid office, the next day I was writing a web front-end for the Registrar's office. The clients were understanding and my coworkers were very helpful."
