"I worked at Greyhound from May 2019 to December 2019. The coworkers at the specific location that I worked were wonderful, very friendly, and helpful. The City Manager was a professional, understanding, and an overall great boss. However, there does seem to be a few individuals within the company that does not seem to have an appropriate attitude about the future of industries and companies as a whole. For instance, a useless proprietary system is used for everything from POS to accounting. I say it is useless because it requires what is an emulator to run the program on modern technology, which frequently crashed, was incredibly slow, and used un-ergonomic macros. It is a sunk cost that has money continually poured into it (as long as that program is used the IT department will be the highest functioning SBU at Greyhound). If a proprietary system was not bad enough, the technology being issued to the terminals definitely struggled to run the emulator which caused its fair amount of crashes. Not only is the technology used very dated, but integral pieces of equipment are also often cannibalized to keep other items running. This leads me to the last criticism, the C-level and upper mid-level leadership seem very disconnected from the rest of the company. By this I mean they use outdated business practices and seem to not want to conform to current times."
