Greenville Animal Hospital Employee

"This clinic has a very toxic work environment. The owner and management micromanage and speak about employees in a very unprofessional way. The owner is childish in the games that she enjoys playing with her employees. Each and every job site carries their advertisement listing what a great culture they have. This is completely inaccurate. Even for veterinary medicine this place is bad. You are watched and listened to every moment of the day. The "leadership team" delights in getting as many people in trouble as they can while effectively ignoring the real issues at the clinic. Turnover rate is amazing. You will be hard pressed to find more than a handful of people that have sonority of any kind. People are fired or quit, usually, within the first year. This is the first place that I have worked that take part in mass firings. A person is fired, usually for crossing the owner or management, that person is then fired. Over the next few weeks each and ever person who was friends with the fired employee are let go. I have seen this happen with five people at one point. Their form of encouragement is a threat of losing your job. And heaven help you if you get put on restrictions. They will do everything they can to force you to quit to avoid the lawsuit that firing would create. Micromanagement, nitpicking, and scolding are all practiced. Training is also a bad experience. You are thrown in with a person who treats you as if you are stupid regardless of what you do. Then this person, the owner, and management all speak about you to other employees and so on. You have about a week to figure out most of it or you will be fired with a quick, this just isn't going to work out. I have never been treated this poorly. Please use caution when pursuing a career with them. This is a very unhealthy place."
