"I worked at GMG for a couple years in the Sales Dept. (insurance agent) The people there are great to work with, and even after I parted ways with them, I remain friends with most of the employees. The turnover is high in sales. The owners expect only top performers to apply. You must be very aware that they will fire you if you're not a top performer. BOTTOM LINE. If you can reach top levels in 40 hours great, but if not you will be "asked" to work through lunch and on the weekends. As for compensation, the position claims to be a 6 figure position, but that has proven unattainable across all agents in the last several years. There are 1-2 agents that are close, and they have been with the company for about 2 years, but the majority of the agents on the sales floor are far away from that goal/expectation. The position is 100% commission, with no paid vacation. (You are allowed a couple weeks a year to take off, but there is no actual payment to you while you're gone.) There is no "quota relief" for time off either, so taking vacation/time off can be stressful both financially, and with the metrics/goals. The day to day operations are 100% phone based. Leads are purchased and provided to you, but quality will vary from month to month. Questioning lead quality is a BIG no-no! Metrics are measured in all aspects. The commonly used term "micro-management" doesn't really apply here, but it's not exactly "free reign" either. Just know that you will be measured regularly, and you will be publicly compared to your peers (some people don't like this part). There's a sales meeting every morning at 8am sharp, no working from home or remotely. The other positions in the company are fairly secure (underwriting, IT, internships), but sales is basically a revolving door. 10+ years in business and the most tenured agent has been in their sales dept less than 3 years. If you apply, make sure you're a GREAT sales professional!!!"
"I've worked with Gomedigap for a few years now and they are small which allows for good relationships with coworkers however the company has let go so many people the second money is an issue, so the question is... Is your number up? I loved the freedom to solve the problem with any technology I wanted however in this world its all about pros vs cons."
