"I liked the opportunity to work with the newest equipment. and the challenge of solving problems. I also like the freedom to improve operations (with engineering department review)."

"Stay Positive. Express that you can handle stress. Stress that you learn quickly. Be able to deal with demanding deadlines. Be able to deal with difficult people. Don't guess, know!"

What don't you like about working at General Motors?

"I disliked the training AFTER installation. One Oh, crap! would erase a hundred Good Job!s. Every time the management personnel were shuffled between desks, a great deal of wisdom was lost."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Supervisors of skilled trades personnel should have actually owned tools at some time in their lives. Accept feedback on the effectiveness of new processes. Soviet-style central planning is not a good business model."
