"This company is not afraid to leverage new technologies. The cloud first mantra generates many opportunities to contribute as the company moves forward with new merchant solutions. The teams are a bit siloed and there is more of an adversarial style of communication between the teams. Also, the audit team relies heavily on spreadsheets which is error prone and rather inefficient."

What do you like about working at Global Payments?

"What I like about Global Payments is the management. From the VP to the Managers, people are very nice and down to earth which I haven't seen in the big corporation I came from Such as AT&T and British Telecom."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Yeah, they should make sure they master EIGRP, OSPG and BGP. IPSec, VPN and Tunneling. They should know different series of Juniper Equipments as well. They should know how to migrate from EIGRP to OSPF without taking the network down"

What don't you like about working at Global Payments?

"What I don't like about Global payments is the way works are assigned to the Engineers. When you have a project, all engineers in the team work on it as well and make changes that you don't even know about."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"There should be a more organized way to assign projects to engineers and make sure whoever has a project owns it till the project is done."

"Management should make their budgets without laying off staff yearly so that they can receive their bonus."
