"Very formal organization and politically charged, therefore communicate succinctly and accurately"

"political environment, leadership style of some of the executive leaders"

"To be less detail oriented and empower management to make more decisions"

"I liked the vision of the company and the dedicated team members that put in many years making it the successful company that it is today."

"Wait for the IPO to complete to understand what the footprint will look like."
What don't you like about working at Affinia Group?
"When the IPO was pushed it felt like the senior leaders just wanted their cash and to retire and were not looking at the workers and their future."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Affinia touts 'doing the right thing' and 'people are most important' but their are some senior leaders that do not show those thoughts. They don't have good business sense, haven't delivered anything for the company, and are just in it for the money (just because they are in Ann Arbor)."

"I enjoyed the people I worked with and the ability to travel outside the US."

"No, the company was acquired and I wasn't with Arris long enough to provide any tips."
What don't you like about working at BigBand Networks?
"The IT department was not viewed as an enabler but more as a reactive group. I was int he process of changing this ciewpoint."

"Provide leadership and direction. They were great innovators, but not very good at making decisions."

"The management team was empowered to use the budget they negotiated to execute against both tactical and 3 yr rolling strategic plans"

"Great company- learn about facilities management, batteries and automotive applications."
What don't you like about working at Johnson Controls?
"Excessive Travel; however this was pre-Enron and SOX so these travel policies may have changed now."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Execute to the strategic plan and watch the investments in the automotive side of the business unless orders are 70 Euro and AsiaPac"
