2.3I worked for this company for 10 years. They were great when I first started, but they have been run into the ground by the incompetence of mediocre management, starting at the very top. Once a $15 billion company, they are now being forced to sell off stores and produce major layoffs. They have absolutely no direction or plan to move ahead. They are very good at collecting and counting their money, but their "core values" which are total HR crap, don't mean a thing. Respect for others? Right. I would never work for them again. Don't expect training, don't expect support, don't expect timely answers. Store personnel are miserable and stand at checkout and complain about how bad it is. There are so many employees that clearly do not give a crap about anything. They work at 50% and get away with it. It was infuriating.
2.5This company was a little confused as to what they wanted out of my position. Some of the developers were slow to adopt any type of change in process that a QA Analyst would bring. Project Managers and BAs were all for it, but developers looked at it as negative and feared any snooping on them would cause them to lose their jobs.
1.4I have been with GE for over ten years and its been the worst experience of my life. Managers get bonuses for cutting employees hours, they make it near impossible to get time off ( I was called in to work on the day of my grandmother's funeral after they told me I could have the day off BC of the funeral), and they never fire anyone, they simply remove you from the schedule so no one can collect unemployment. Sure there is a union with dues that go up in price every year.
