"As executive it was extremely rewarding. I built this region from the ground up. I hired the entire management team and together we grew. I learned how to work with professional recruiters and learned a lot from them since I had only worked with Human Resource Directors as a district and school administrator. Together we nutured and supported one another. We were servicing 51 schools. I never hated the position because my regional colleagues and CEO were great to work with daily."

"Emphasize academic knowledge and background, love for kids, and importance of addressing the needs of the whole person within the educational process."

What don't you like about working at THINK Together?

"Management does not understand ethnic diversity which gets in the way of providing consistent and qualitative educational services. Upper management is not culturally diverse and limited in their scope of understanding the communities they service. Not focused on whole child learning. Trying to accomplish too much with too little resource! Pushing fast growth strategically managing education a product for profit. Too much ego!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Slow company growth, Focus on quality, not quality. Replace current academic upper management staffing with more diversity in their management approach. Have a management attitude of balancing educational services with business operations management."

"It was so long ago I was very successfull at what I did. I was very happy where I was at. I cant say I remember any negative until the company chnaged all of the upper management when company began to close down stores."

"I enjoyed working with my staff and took pride in their achievements. I also enjoyed taking care of my members, I still receive many calls from them."

"Bally looks for high energy people with a basic understanding of health and exercise."

What don't you like about working at Bally Total Fitness?

"I am not one to shy away from a long day but the 12 to 14 hours a day plus one full weekend day did not leave much time for any home life. I would like to have some balance there."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Because of the financial needs of Bally, I would suggest focus on our core product and work on building new partnerships with manufacturers for new equipment or partner with local hospitals for tax breaks and re-invest this money in the clubs."
