"Old school politics, engineers are knowledgeable and often brilliant, however leading change efforts and trying to implement operational excellence is difficult at best due to the resistance to change by many old school engineers. Frankly they are very wasteful in managing their projects."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I suggest greater support of your operational excellence and quality leaders so that you can realize greater profits and efficiency in this tightened economic and competitive era."
