Submit a ReviewWhat do you like about working at Stewart Enterprises?
"Most of my co-workers are kind people who genuinely care about families and work very well together as a team."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Negotiate hard for your salary at the beginning, because your raises will not be in line with inflation. Like what you're doing, be a control freak, and understand that you will be punished for stepping out of line with the company's expectations."
What don't you like about working at Stewart Enterprises?
"1% annual raise. High-performing employees are punished for going against the grain. Lazy, useless employees are left alone. Cruel, nasty employees are allowed to continue. Inordinate level of responsibility placed on one level of employees. Sales culture creates cat-fighting and apathy towards non-sales family interactions."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The board would be comprised of funeral professionals and people who have worked their way up from the bottom. There would be a retirement plan and benefits for employee loyalty. There would be raises commensurate with inflation and job performance instead of the least amount possible in order to increase profits. Administrative staff would be pared down to extremely well-paid individuals who can genuinely contribute to the success of the company. Reporting would be streamlined so managers can spend more time with their staff and less time data-gathering."
