"The fact that the company is going bankrupt. They should have made better decisions in the past, like not purchasing Pathmark."

"Should get more involved with the lower level employees. Having them more involved might boost moral of the lower level employees."

"I like all of the charitable things that Stop & Shop does. In addition I also like the design of the company and all of the side programs they have (helping hands program for employees who have faced hardships)."

"Be unique with a great personality, willing and able to work well with others and of course have a desire to help people and get involved."
What don't you like about working at Stop & Shop?
"the lack of communication, the lack of support on reprimanding insubordinate associates."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Better communication, Better support of the managers who are in charge of running the front end of the store"

"The GM did not care about customers, only about COMPUSA earnings."
What do you like about working at CompUSA?
"I enjoyed my peers, and the culture was a good one. Until certain people, people in high up positions started to treat all people, including customers, as if they were nothing more than a number."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If CompUSA were still a retail store, I would have suggested to not to expect to stay very long, as upper management tended to make us store managers enforce policies which made the regular employees feel very little."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would suggest upper management treat the lower level management with some respect, and take into consideration their suggestions to better the company."

"It was a 40 hours a week job, and it was Union so there is a pension."

"Only if you want to move up and get 40 hours a week, and pensions."

"The boss picks friends and the others better jump through ropes."

"Treat people as you would like to be talking to, and don't jump the rope without hearing all the facts."

"Few growth opportunities, flexible scheduling and can not be demonstrated professional capacities and therefore do not receive a fair payment."

"The management must pay attention training and developing internal resources. Retail food industry is changing and competence is growing, the familiy oriented business model could be a mistake."

"The pay was higher than other retail places, and stock options were great."
