From the home office in Germany, the company operates 2,757 dialysis clinics worldwide and treats 214,648 patients diagnosed with end stage kidney failure. Fresenius clinics use a philosophy for treatment called UltraCare, which combines customer service, innovative treatment and new technologies to deliver exceptional patient care. In addition to patient care, Fresenius also manufactures and distributes products and equipment used in the dialysis process, which includes dialysis machines and patient pharmaceuticals.

The company has recently expanded by purchasing smaller dialysis clinics and establishing a mail order pharmacy that can provide all of their patients’ prescription requirements. Position requirements range from needing a GED to possessing graduate degrees. Every new employee receives one week on-the-job training to prepare them for their position. Fresenius also provides tuition reimbursement for those employees wishing to move up in their career.

Employees are provided with uniforms and additional training as needed. The option exists to transfer to other locations within the Fresenius Medical Care system.
