"I've worked at Freddie Mac for 12 years, starting as a senior analyst with promotions up to director. It's a great place to have a career. Benefits are great and pay is good. Employees tend to be smart and collegial, but the atmosphere can be bureaucratic at times."
"Freddie is in a state of flux. They don't value company knowledge or company experience. They are quick to lay off with out the consideration of how remaining employees will be affected. Nor are they honest with their employees when they are on the list to be laid off. I many cases they had to hire former employees back as contractors to continue doing business. The current CEO was hired to prepare the company to be sold publicly."

"It is strong company, and great environment to work for."

"I've worked with Freddie Mac as a helpdesk analyst for 6 months now, I've noticed the employees do minimal work compared to the Contingent workers, and that some of the employees that work at Freddie Mac get hired by reference and not through any interview that requires technical knowledge or expertise. There is very little communication within the various tech departments that end up causing confusion when rollouts occur."
"I have worked at this current position for 4 months now and found it to be an exciting place to work with great team mates."
"I've been working as a contractor for Freddie Mac and I like the job environment, however, it takes a long time to get things done (bureaucracy). Good company to work for overall."
