"Good company. The only complaint is the location, too far from civilization. Another thing is it's slow to give pay rise and the compensation is ok."

"I worked at Foxconn in Houston, TX for about 18 months. Its working environment was unlike those I heard much about on the Internet. The management at Foxconn had tried to do their best given their resources and constraints."

PDM Manager

"I worked for Foxconn for 16 years and was very satisfied with the work and the friendships I made there during those years. The team I worked with allowed me to do my job and was very much supportive when working as a team. The only difficult time I had was sometimes dealing with the different cultures. Foxconn is a Asian based company and I often found it difficult to translating or combining the US and Chinese manufacturing and engineering cultures together. All in all I was satisfied."

What do you like about working at Foxconn?

"I liked the technical challenges of finding the issues with computer and repairing them."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would drive performance by awarding good work not simply punishing everyone for missed goals. I would not make mandatory overtime as common as it was (sometimes nearly every day for months on end including extra days). Instead I would restart 3rd shift. I would not push employees to work all this overtime with nothing but fear of losing their job. I would give performance based raises on a regular schedule and promote from within. (I received 3 raises in 8 years. 1 was due to a department change, other two were across the board raises)"
