"I worked for Foxconn since 2005. This is a Chinese company, not too many jobs are available because they outsource to China. It's a very tedious and stressful company to work for. However, there are plenty of learning experiences available for employees."

"My job at Foxconn included: monitoring, diagnose and debugging no functional failures in VGA and FST testphase for different Cisco Server products, and this debugging process includes make sure all the internal components'(DIMM,'CPU,'PSU,'FAN,'CARD,etc) are functional. Remotely troubleshooting BIOS, software version and connectivity related issues and upgrading failures using LINUX operating Platform. Troubleshooting/debugging test equipment failures on a variety of operating platforms (Linux,Windows)."
"I worked at Foxconn in Houston, TX for about 18 months. Its working environment was unlike those I heard much about on the Internet. The management at Foxconn had tried to do their best given their resources and constraints."
"I worked for Foxconn for 16 years and was very satisfied with the work and the friendships I made there during those years. The team I worked with allowed me to do my job and was very much supportive when working as a team. The only difficult time I had was sometimes dealing with the different cultures. Foxconn is a Asian based company and I often found it difficult to translating or combining the US and Chinese manufacturing and engineering cultures together. All in all I was satisfied."

What don't you like about working at Foxconn?
"Parking is non-existent at the facility. Foxconn advertises almost constantly for Quality Engineers yet it seems like they never hire anyone - or if they do, they seem to leave pretty soon after being hired. Because the head office is in China, they expect YOU to stay until 9 or 10 pm so that the head office can have a teleconference when it's convenient for them. When you go to the interview, it's more like a 4 hour long interrogation - and that's the first AND last time you'll probably hear from them."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"HIRE some of the people that you interview. Needs MUCH BETTER follow-up from HR to applicant. Improve the parking facilities immediately! Have the people in the head office in China come in early or stay late occasionally for the teleconferences instead of making us stay late."
